These terms apply whenever you order from originvdc.com, either as a retail customer or through our trade ordering portal. By placing an order, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@originvdc.com before ordering.
Origin VDC, [registered company name and number to be added], [registered address to be added]. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the English and Welsh courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, images, specifications, and prices accurate, but errors can happen. If we discover a pricing or listing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you before dispatch to confirm whether you'd like to proceed at the correct price, or cancel for a full refund. All prices are shown in GBP; retail prices include UK VAT where applicable, trade prices are shown ex-VAT with VAT added at checkout.
Retail orders are placed and paid for through our Shopify storefront. A contract is formed once we accept and confirm your order by email. As a UK consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel most orders under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting from the day you (or someone you nominate) receives the goods — see our returns process below.
Trade accounts are subject to approval and may be revoked at our discretion. Trade orders are placed through our trade portal and paid either by card at checkout or, for approved accounts within their credit limit, on invoice with payment due within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Outstanding invoices may result in trade account suspension until settled.
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a delivery is significantly delayed, contact us and we'll look into it with the courier.
If a product develops a fault, or you simply want to return an unused item within a reasonable period, contact us to start a return, refund, or warranty request. Faulty goods are covered by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in addition to any manufacturer warranty stated on the product page. Items must be returned in the condition they were received unless faulty. We aim to process approved refunds promptly once a return is received and inspected.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost use) arising from misuse, improper installation, or use of our products outside their stated specifications — this matters for our power/audio electronics products in particular, which should be installed and used within their rated limits.
